How has the current drought affected you?  Do you need help because your lawn, shrubs, flower beds or trees look sick or are they dying?  We can help you figure out the solutions.  We have 20 years of experience in the art and science of growing plants.  Our expertise is growing natives and well-adapted plants including herbs for this area.  We will help you design a well planned and water efficient landscape to suite your families needs.

We will help you follow these 7 steps to success:

  1. Planning and design is the foundation of any water-wise landscape, develop and follow a plan.
  2. Improve the soil and do a soil analysis.
  3. Use natives and well-adapted plants and plant them in the right location.  Plant in the fall when possible.
  4. Reduce turf areas and select proper grass or groundcover.  Mow at the proper height.
  5. Use mulches in flower and shrub beds to prevent water loss from soil through evaporation and to increase water penetration during irrigation.
  6. Water properly: by using efficient irrigation, you can instantly save 30 to 50 percent on your water bill.
  7. Employ a sound maintenance program: pruning, weeding, proper fertilization, pest control and irrigation system adjustments all conserve water.
We offer Landscape design, installation, consultation and horticultural advice with design and shopping assistance at nurseries.  We are also available for Lectures and teach Sustainable Landscaping Practice class at Collin County Community College.

We specialize in earth-friendly landscape plants such as herbs and natives.
